I was saddened to learn that Dr. Jim Thornton will be leaving the Isle of Wight County school system as superintendent a year before his contract expires.

I want to thank Dr. Thornton for his contributions to the education of Isle of Wight County students and especially the CTE program, which will enhance the future of many of our students.  Dr. Thornton will be missed!
