Representatives from Isle of Wight County Schools and the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors recently toured the new Hardy Elementary School construction site. Also participating in the tour were School Board Vice Chair Michael Cunningham, School Board District 2 member Renee Dial, Hardy Elementary Principal Shante Denson, Board of Supervisors Chair Rudolph Jefferson and County Administrator Randy Keaton. The group was escorted throughout the space by representatives from Heartland Construction and Kahn Construction, the two companies building the new facility. The tour highlighted the entryway vestibule, the main office, the kindergarten classrooms, along with the combined cafeteria and auditorium space.  Construction is scheduled to be completed by June, with the building opening for the 2023-24 school year.
