Editor, The Smithfield Times:

At 4:45 p.m. March 28, the entire southbound concrete on the James River Bridge was a five-mile jack-up. 

Two sheriff cars had a car pulled over on the shoulder at the foot of the bridge. Why did one of these quite young law people block the right lane? We know the culture is still in the 9-11 backwash, but why couldn’t they have stayed on the shoulder? This happens almost daily.
