When Isle of Wight County residents learned that Chemerre Wells, owner of 54 Beans Espresso Bar & Cafe in Carrollton, needed help, there was no hesitation to do what neighbors do best. Within 24 hours, 54 Beans fans donated over $7,000 to help Chemerre with business and medical expenses. 

Donations have continued to pour in. Chemerre is battling breast cancer all while running her business. Balancing everything became increasingly difficult. The community is rallying around her because 54 Beans is so special to our community. 

I know Chemere is so thankful to everyone who donated with a sense of urgency to stabilize her situation. Isle of Wight is truly an amazing place to live!
