Barbara Jones Barb, 83, of Smithfield, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Pete Benjamen Jones and Virgie Nelms Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred Eugene Barb. She is survived by her son, Greg Barb (Paula); grandchildren, Taylor Barb and Landon Barb (Seira); sister, Pat Manix; and a brother, Ronnie Jones (Janice).
Barbara attended Living Hope Community Fellowship in Windsor, VA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful caregiver for anyone in need. For many years she supported Fred in their electrical repair business.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 2 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at St. Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Living Hope Community Fellowship Church, c/o Towne Bank, Windsor, VA. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hidenwood Retirement Community staff and to Amedisys Hospice and their staff.
