Isle of Wight Academy wins homecoming game 20-0

Isle of Wight Academy’s varsity football team won its Oct. 11 homecoming game versus Accomack County’s Nandua High School, with the Chargers defeating the Warriors 20-0.

The win marked the Chargers’ second to date in the seven weeks since the fall 2024 season began, according to results on MaxPreps.com.

During halftime, the private school announced Robin Whitley, who’s in her 49th year teaching kindergarten, as grand marshal of this year’s IWA homecoming parade. Elena Wilson was crowned as this year’s homecoming queen.
