The governing body of Isle of Wight County is facing some serious challenges that are going to require above average leadership skills and creative thinking. Dick Grice, candidate for the Board of Supervisors representing the Smithfield District, is that type of leader.
Mr. Grice’s history includes helping large, troubled retailers restructure their operations and prosper. His work record shows that he can manage large complicated corporate budgets and also manage a variety of personnel from six figure executives to hourly staff, both union and non-union.
He brought the first major facility to the Shirley Holland Industrial Park in Isle of Wight County. In 2002, Dick and his wife, Susan, moved to Smithfield. He started and continues to run a Budget Blinds franchise. While many of his competitors went out of business during the recent recession, Dick managed to stay in business and actually grow it.
We can count on Dick to carefully study the issues facing Isle of Wight County and Smithfield, consider all possible solutions, seek advice from fellow citizens and make the best possible recommendation for a workable solution. Most importantly, we can count on him to spend our tax dollars wisely.
Please join me and vote for Dick Grice on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
