I am writing this letter in support of Mark Marshall for sheriff of Isle of Wight County. I have known Sheriff Marshall for over 25

years. I have always found him to be forthright, community minded and concerned for the citizens of the county. He is innovative, was responsible for the first resource officer in the county (at Smithfield Middle School) and has moved the Sheriff’s Department into the 21^st Century. Mark Marshall will continue to lead the county in a positive and forward direction. I support Mark Marshall for sheriff.

I also support Georgette Phillips for Commonwealth’s attorney. Mrs. Phillips has served the citizens of Isle of Wight for 14 years as assistant Commonwealth’s attorney. She has a positive working relationship with the Smithfield Police Department, the Sheriff’s Department, the State Police and the officers of the courts. She is efficient, hardworking, ethical and held in high esteem by her peers. Georgette Phillips is the right person for Commonwealth’s attorney.
