I have enjoyed a professional, civic and personal relationship with Lawrence Pitt for over 30 years. He was invaluable during his tenure with our telephone companies. He supported major improvements in telecommunications for county businesses and individual customers including his efforts to support fiber optic service and helped bring wide-area, fixed price calling to Isle of Wight. The resulting savings to consumers from expensive local long distance was like a “tax decrease” to the community.

He is very astute when it comes to construction matters and managing projects. I have worked with Lawrence on the Board of Historic St. Luke’s Church, and observed his conscientious and professional dedication to the recent restoration of the church as its project manager. His oversight and hands on approach as project manager of Windsor Castle Park development demonstrates Lawrence’s competence. Working in close cooperation with Joe Luter III and the Town of Smithfield, the result is a beautiful, lifetime asset for Smithfield. His experience in working with VDOT, VMRC, Dominion Power, Verizon and other agencies and utilities is invaluable. His knowledge of so many aspects dealing with good business judgment and regulatory matters will bring a tremendous asset to our county.

I believe Lawrence Pitt is well-equipped to bring vital experience and proven leadership to Isle of Wight County. For many good reasons I recommend voting for Lawrence Pitt as the Smithfield Supervisor.
