I have known Lawrence Pitt since the telephone company sent him here in 1964. I knew him then as a guy to call if there was a phone problem. Today, he is retired and willing to devote his many talents to serving us on the Board of Supervisors. In recent years he has transferred the management ability learned during his working life to numerous projects managed in our area including the construction of Windsor Castle Park.

He has served us as Smithfield Town Councilman and, for 13 years, as a member of the Isle of Wight Planning Commission. He is a thoughtful and fiscally responsible person who will weigh the benefits of a proposal against the cost to taxpayers. He is an independent thinker likely to find alternatives to many proposals. He is the kind of person we need to make decisions for us.
