The Christian Outreach Program (COP) is an all-volunteer organization. It is the local food bank serving the poor, needy and sick of Isle of Wight County. Through people’s generous donations, the support of local churches and charitable grants, COP is also able to help with emergency assistance, prescription and dental assistance, medical transport, furniture, linens and more.

Working with Isle of Wight Social Services, qualified people can receive one large complement of food per month to help feed their families. Walk-ins in need of help are also provided food and then referred to Social Services for regular assistance.

Many of our neighbors are one-job, one-paycheck or one illness away from not being able to feed their families. There are many ways you can help care for your neighbors in need.

To volunteer; call COP at 757-356-9267 to learn about the many opportunities to help.

You can also donate food, furniture, appliances and linens.

Monetary donations can be mailed to IOW Christian Outreach; PO Box 253; Smithfield, VA 23431

Service to those in need is a gift to oneself!
