PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF SMITHFIELD
AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia, (1950), as amended, that the Planning Commission of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 6:30 o’clock P.M., in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia to consider the amendment of certain provisions of the Town’s Zoning Ordinance. A proposed amendment of the Zoning Ordinance is the repeal and readoption of the following article of the ordinance: Article 3.O., FP-O, Floodplain Overlay District; and a further proposed amendment of the Zoning Ordinance is the amendment of Article 13., Definitions to include specific definitions necessary and appropriate for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of Article 3.O., FP-O, Floodplain Overlay District as proposed.
Copies of the current Zoning Ordinance for Smithfield, Virginia, adopted September 1, 1998, and all amendments thereto, along with copies of the proposed amendment of the Zoning Ordinance for Smithfield, Virginia are on file and may be examined in the office of

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Wetlands Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 16, 2015, to consider the following application:
The request of Colonial Pipeline Company (CPC) to perform required maintenance to an existing 16” diameter underground petroleum pipeline. This pipeline is identified as Line 27 and is owned and operated by CPC. Line 27 is located in a single right-of-way, which traverses through Isle of Wight County and crosses the Champion Swamp Creek Marsh at a point, approximately 3,000 feet north of Scott’s Factory Road (Rt. 620) and 1,600 feet east of Great Spring Road (Rt. 655).
A copy of the request materials are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning, 17140 Monument Circle, Suite 201, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia and are available for public examination.
Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his views with respect to the aforesaid application may appear before and be heard by said Board during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C.
