I wish to express my heartfelt “Thank you” to John and Francis Graham for their participation in the Education Foundation Auction.

They took a considerable amount of time and expense to open up their beautiful farm in Surry County for a fully staffed and catered quail hunt.

The hunt was a beautiful event, watching John’s field dogs work the area, pointing the birds and retrieving them.

If only our shooting were as good as the dogs!

Also, thank you Smithfield Bakery for the great catering job. Their sandwiches were, as usual, amazing.

I urge all of you upland bird hunters to attend next year’s Education Foundation dinner and auction and try to take this prize away from me. (Good Luck!)

It is a fun event and goes to a great cause.
