Clifton Leon Carmack, 82, passed away on March 6, 2016. He was born in Colbert, Ala. to the late Lother and Mary Carmack. Clifton was a man who loved fishing, hunting and being around his family. He worked for the Newport News Shipyard for 33 years as a welder instructor. Clifton is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Nancy, daughter, Brenda Willett, and brother, Gene Carmack.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Tim; daughter; Debra Edwards (Robert); grandchildren; Edward, Shawn, Charlie, Robert, Nancy, Heather; eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, a brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 10, 1p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery 13717 Bethany Church Rd, Smithfield.
