PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Town Council and the Planning Commission of the Town of Surry will hold a joint public hearing August 8th, 2017 at 7:00pm in the Town’s meeting room (84 Colonial Trail East). The purpose of the public hearing is to review the proposed updates to the Town of Surry Comprehensive Plan. At 7:15pm, the Town Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed 2017/2018 budget. A complete copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan updates and the 2017/2018 budget can be seen in the Town business office (31 Colonial Trail East) during regular office hours.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Surry County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7:00pm in the General District Courtroom of the Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia 23883, to hear public comments and consider the following Conditional Use Permit Applications:. Copies of the applications are available for review and inspection by the public in the Office of the County Administrator, Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
CUP-2017-02A – Application by Spring Grove Solar, LLC for a Conditional Use to permit a Utility Service/Major, as permitted by Article III, Section 3-302 Permitted Uses, (c) of the Surry County Zoning Ordinance. The subject property is irregularly shaped, zoned Agriculture Rural District (A-R), and consists of 2,676’+acres. The property fronts on the East side of Colonial Trail West/SR 10 for 3,000’+ and the South side of Beaverdam Road/SR 626 for 11,000’+ and has an average depth of 8,700’+. The subject property is identified by Tax Parcel No. 12-29.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Surry County has requested authorization from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission to construct a commercial fishing pier, 10 feet wide, 122 feet in length and extending approximately 60 feet channelward of mean low water, adjacent to County owned property situated at the end of Marina Road in Surry County.
