Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:
The application of Bay Sand Company, Inc., applicant, and Everets Properties, Inc./Charles H. Rose and Lynn K. Rose, owners, for a conditional use permit on 141 acres of land located on a private road off of Muddy Cross Drive, with tax parcel identification numbers 41-01-056 and 41-01-057. The purpose of the application is to allow for the expansion of the existing conditional use of resource extraction to be permitted on the property.
The application of East West – Benn’s Grant, LLC, applicant, and East West – Benn’s Grant, LLC, Benn’s Church Properties, and Turner Farms, Inc., owners, for amendment to conditional zoning of 26.43 acres of land located at 15150 Benn’s Church Boulevard, on the property with tax map numbers 32-01-082 and 32-01-075A. The purpose of the application is to convert a portion of the designated commercial property and open space area to allow for 231 additional residential units.

The object of this suit is to effect partition amongst the owners by sale or otherwise of real property which Malachi Lawrence died seized and possessed, and intestate on December 20, 1969. The property is located in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and is known as Tax Map 48-01-042, located at 22196 Orbit Rd., Windsor, VA 23487.
An affidavit having been made that the whereabouts and post office address of Charles Lawrence, Fatima Muhammad (f/k/a Deborah Lawrence), Stacey Lawrence and Stanley Lawrence are unknown; that Jeffrey Lawrence and Bernard Lunon are nonresidents of the State of Virginia, and that their last known post office addresses are as indicated above; and that the last known post office addresses of Henry Lawrence, John C. Notice of Public Hearing
The Surry County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 7:00pm in the General District Courtroom, 45 School Street, Surry, VA 23883 to hear citizen comments on proposed Ordinance 2017-04 to provide an exemption from personal property and real estate taxes pursuant to Section 58.1-3651 of the Code of Virginia for Mid-Atlantic Broadband Communities Corporation (MBC). The assessed value of the real property owned by MBC is $1,188,230.00 and the annual real estate property tax is $8,436.43. The current assessed value of the tangible personal property owned by MBC is $21,145.00 and the annual tangible personal property tax is $845.80. A copy of the ordinance may be obtained through the County Administrator’s Office, 45 School Street, P.O. Box 65, Surry, VA 236883.

Joint Public Hearing Notice
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council of Claremont, VA has scheduled a joint public hearing of the Planning Commission and the Town Council for Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 4115 Spring Grove Ave. Claremont, VA. The Planning Commission public hearing will begin at 6:30pm followed immediately by the Town Council Public Hearing at 7:00pm. The purpose of the joint Public Hearing is to hear public comments and consider the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, adding Section 95-295, Communications Towers. This ordinance will establish regulations for the location and permitting process for all communications towers that may be erected within the Town.
