An affidavit having been filed that the Plaintiff used due diligence to locate Wanda Wells Hewitt, if living, but without effect; that the last known post office addresses of Wanda Wells Hewitt, if living, are 12096 Burwells Bay Road, Smithfield, VA 23430 & 8195 Moonlight Road, Smithfield, VA 23430; that if Wanda Wells Hewitt is not living, the Plaintiff used due diligence to locate her unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest; that the post office addresses of the unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest of Wanda Wells Hewitt are unknown; and that there may be other persons having an interest in the property whose names and addresses are unknown, and those claiming through the aforementioned parties, all such persons made defendants as “Parties Unknown.”

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, November 16, 2017 to consider the following:
The application of Bay Sand Company, Inc., applicant, and Everets Properties, Inc./Charles H. Rose and Lynn K. Rose, owners, for a conditional use permit on 141 acres of land located on a private road off of Muddy Cross Drive, with tax parcel identification numbers 41-01-056 and 41-01-057. The purpose of the application is to allow for the expansion of the existing conditional use of resource extraction to be permitted on the property.
An ordinance to amend and reenact the following sections of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix B, Zoning: Article IX, Signs; in order to make changes to the requirements for temporary and permanent signs.

SPECIAL USE PERMIT
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. to consider the application of Daniel Garland and Anne Garland, owners, for a special use permit under the provisions of Article 3.H., Sections C.9 and C.15 and Article 6 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, adopted September 1, 1998, and as amended thereafter, in order to approve the use of a residential structure for a non-residential use, in particular for use as an event center with rooms for overnight transient lodging.
The applicants propose to provide a venue for fundraising activities, gatherings, parties and celebrations of other special events, within the structure at 308 Main Street. Additionally, two (2) rooms upstairs would be available for overnight lodging for those associated with the events, or otherwise.
