Benjaman (Ben) Elmer Brown

Benjaman (Ben) Elmer Brown, 88, passed away on Nov. 25, 2017. He was a veteran of the Korean War era and retired from Brown and Root Construction Company to live the rest of his days in Rockport, Texas. Born to the late Elmer and Josie Brown in Isle of Wight County, he is predeceased by his wife Mable; brothers, Billy and Bobby (Jane); granddaughter, Nicole; a niece and two nephews. He is survived by two sons, Jim (Carol) and William (Patricia); two daughters, Mary Kautz (Don) and Vickie Kolden (Jeff); two sisters, Martha Powell (Melvin, deceased) and Bess Cochran (Steve); two brothers, Joe and Glenn; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, niece’s and nephews. A graveside service will be held at St. Luke’s Memorial Cemetery in Smithfield on Wednesday, Dec. 20th at 1 p.m.
