Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors at its meeting on Thursday, August 16, 2018 will hold a public hearing to consider:
The granting of a non-exclusive hunting lease with the Mill Swamp Hunt Club for the property designated as Tax Map Parcel Numbers 16-01-007B, 26-01-001, 27-01-012, 27-01-019, 27-01-015, 26-01-002, 27-01-011 and 27-01-014.
The granting of a non-exclusive hunting lease with the Isle of Wight Hunt Club for the property designated as Tax Map Parcel Number 27-01-015.
A copy of the proposed lease agreements are on file in the Office of the County Attorney and the Office of the County Administrator, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and is available for public inspection.
Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his views with respect to, the proposed lease extension may appear before, and be heard by, the Board during the Public Hearing section of the meeting in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia. The public meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. The County of Isle of Wight is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 16, 2018 to consider the following applications:
The application of Jamie Weist, Kimley-Horn, applicant, and B. Wilson Jones, A. Dwight Doggett, Jr. and Michael S. Doggett, owners, for a Conditional Use Permit on 160 acres of a total 193 acres, composed of Tax Parcel Identification Numbers 38-01-051C, 38-01-054A, 38-01-054B, and 38-01-054E, located at the intersection of Courthouse Highway (Rt. 258), Redhouse Road (Rt. 644), and Orbit Road (Rt. 637). The application includes the request to withdraw the properties in question from the Agricultural/Forestal District. The purpose of the application is to allow for a utility service, major (solar farm) to be operated on the site.
The application of K & A Builders, LLC, applicant, and R. T. Arnold and Margaret D. Harper, Trustee, owners, for a comprehensive plan amendment to change the future recommended land use on 13.75 acres of land from Suburban Estate to Suburban Residential. The property is located at 15567 Carrollton Boulevard with tax map numbers 34A-01-A007, 34A-01-A008, 34A-01-B001, 34A-01-E002, 34A-01-E003, 34A-01-E004, 34A-01-E005, 34A-01-E007, 34A-01-E008, 34A-01-E009, 34A-01-E010, and 34A-01-E011.
The application of K & A Builders, LLC, applicant, and R. T. Arnold and Margaret D. Harper, Trustee, owners, for conditional rezoning of 13.75 acres of land located at 15567 Carrollton Boulevard, on the property with tax map numbers 34A-01-A007, 34A-01-A008, 34A-01-B001, 34A-01-E002, 34A-01-E003, 34A-01-E004, 34A-01-E005, 34A-01-E007, 34A-01-E008, 34A-01-E009, 34A-01-E010, and 34A-01-E011, from General Commercial to Conditional Planned Development Residential. The purpose of the application is to allow for 44 single family residential units.
Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.
Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 16, 2018, to consider the adoption of Section 15-39, Assessment of new buildings substantially completed, etc. The purpose of the ordinance is to comply with Section 58.1-3292 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended) and to allow the Commissioner of the Revenue to assess new construction upon completion of the building, rather than assessing a percentage of the value on the assessment day.
