Ethel Virginia Nurney Harris

Ethel Virginia Nurney Harris, 88, passed away Nov. 13, 2018.  She was born in Isle of Wight County, the daughter of the late Jack and Virginia Florence Gray Nurney. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Joe Henry Harris Jr., and five brothers. 

Ethel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie D. Pugh (Alan); sons, Joe H. Harris III and Jimmie L. Harris; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Pippins (Sherman), Mildred Nurney; and brother, Raleigh Ray Nurney.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Billy Gardner officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund at Mill Swamp Baptist Church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
