Veronica Paulette Murphy

Veronica Paulette Murphy of Windsor was born on May 13, 1960 to the late William Porter and Elsie Gray Porter.  On June 26, 2019, God quietly and peacefully called our loved one, Veronica Paulette Murphy, to eternal rest. 

She was a member of Holly Grove AME Church.  She was a graduate of Windsor High School and received a degree in clothing technology from Norfolk State University. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother; one daughter, Krystal Nicole Perry; and one granddaughter, Krystal Veronica Murphy.  She also leaves two sisters, Tonya Williams (Alvester) and Lisa Hardy (Vernon); two brothers, William I. Porter (Ella) and Gregory Porter (Tisha); five aunts, three uncles, and a host of cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 5, 4-6 p.m. at Chapman – J T Fisher Funeral Services 658 W. Main St., Smithfield.  A life celebration service will be held Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m., at Holly Grove AME Church 21404 Orbit Road, Windsor.
