The televised Democratic presidential debates may be down to seven candidates, but there are 14 on the ballot for Tuesday’s primary in Virginia.
In Virginia, primaries are open to all residents who are registered to vote, regardless of party affiliation.
On the ballot for Tuesday, March 3, are Cory Booker, Julian Castro, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson, Michael Bennet, Joe Biden, Amy Klobuchar, Tulsi Gabbard, Deval Patrick, Pete Buttigieg, Andrew Yang, Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg.
Some of the candidates, such as Booker and Castro, have already dropped out of the race.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Two precincts in Isle of Wight have changed recently. The Windsor precinct is now at the Windsor Town Center, 23361 Courthouse Hwy. in Windsor and the Carrsville precinct is at the Carrsville Community Center, 5336 Carrsville Hwy., Carrsville.
Acceptable forms of identification include:
•Virginia driver’s license
•Virginia DMV-issued photo ID
•United States passport
•Employer-issued photo ID
•Virginia Voter Photo ID card
•Other U.S. or Virginia government-issued photo ID
•Student photo IDissued by a school, college, or
university located in Virginia
•Tribal enrollment or other tribal photo ID
If you don’t have one of these, you can get a free voter photo ID at any Virginia voter registration office, including on Election Day.
