James “Jimmy” Shirley Crumpler, Jr, 66, of Smithfield passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at his residence.

Jimmy was born in Isle of Wight County to the late James Shirley Crumpler, Sr and Winifred Watts Crumpler.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Brenda Kay Fowler Crumpler; daughter, Cheryl C. High (Benjamin); son, James Robert Crumpler; grandchildren, Cassidy and Caley High; and his brother, Michael Crumpler. 

Jimmy was a member of Smithfield Church of the Nazarene. He was blessed with a kidney transplant in 2002.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Virginia Transplant Center in Richmond, Sentara Obici Hospital, Sentara Heart Hospital, Sentara Hospice and especially to Dr. Lopresti at Sentara St. Luke’s. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, 2 p.m. in St Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
