Attorney General Mark Herring is asking Virginia residents and businesses to share their experiences related to recent changes the Trump Administration has made to U.S. Postal Service operations.

In a Sept. 1 announcement, Herring said his office has established a dedicated email address where Virginians who have been affected by changes to the postal service can send their stories. The email address is USPS@oag.state.va.us. The attorney general’s office may also be contacted at 804-786-2071.

Herring said he’s looking for examples of delayed or late official government correspondence, Social Security checks or other forms of payment or delays in receiving medication or packages.

Virginia-based USPS employees are also encouraged to contact the attorney general’s office if they have knowledge of what’s happening at post office facilities. Herring recently filed a federal lawsuit challenging the USPS operational changes, saying they threaten a critical public service and could undermine the national election in November.
