The Isle of Wight County School Board has announced a special meeting to discuss and decide on expanding its hybrid learning model to other grades. The board plans to meet at 10 a.m. on Sept. 30 in the Robert C. Claude Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse, 17130 Monument Circle, in Isle of Wight.
Isle of Wight public school students in pre-K through third grade were offered the option for in-person learning two days a week on an alternating schedule, while students in grades four through 12 started the year with virtual-only learning. At the board’s most recent meeting, school officials said that internet connectivity has been challenging for students in all grade levels.
