Editor, The Smithfield Times:

A proposed development with 1,100 townhouses and homes, at the intersection of Nike Park Road and Battery Park Road along the Morris Creek/ Moone Creek area, would:

Create a wetlands nightmare for Morris Creek wildlife.

Add 5,500 new residents to Smithfield.

And over 10,000 vehicles to our roads.

Plus, 2,200 new students in our already overcrowded schools.

Please attend the next Smithfield Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church St.
